Tight Braid Group is a performance collective founded by Leslie Allison and Francis Weiss Rabkin. Tight Braid Group weaves together strands from diverse practices and experiences to tell complex stories and build tight community bonds. Collaborators include poets, playwrights, musicians, choreographers, visual artists, and others. Tight Braid Group is anchored in a research and rehearsal practice that prioritizes emotional and political engagement. Tight Braid Group were artists-in-residence at Dixon Place for the summer of 2015, and premiered new work in April 2016 at The Brick Theater. Upcoming development workshops at Wesleyan University in 2018.
